Creating From the Inside Out
Hi! Today is the day that I decided to jump into social media!
Being an artist can be isolating. We dive in and work and then emerge, dive in and work again, emerge. (I am sure you do this, in your own way, too.) Artists often need quiet (or the loud rock music!) to accompany the action and bring forward the visions and inspiration. This often leaves us working alone in our zone. At times. it feels like hours have gone by and the world disappeared, only creativity streaming. Emerging out of that, we may need to change gears, connect, say hello, get feedback and engage with others — share. And we need to realize "we can do anything!”
I wish to share some of the process with you, some of the things that worked and some of the things that didn't. A case in point: I know resetting my phone the other day sure didn't work for my photos. Gone!! The "past" — gone! Maybe a good thing! Lol!
Wings are on my mind. Feathers keep showing up. It is really good to pay attention to what keeps showing up in our lives. How can I grow my own wings? How do I get that sensation that feels like “I’m light as a feather” into my art, and see that people feel it too, when they see it? That feeling that everything is clicking into place, flowing, everything feels easy, connections are coming in by themselves (I don't believe in coincidence), and there is a wonderful sense of motivation. Can someone look at my art and feel a sense of freedom? Wings, wings, wings! Angel wings, butterfly wings, dragonfly wings, energetic invisible wings! Superhero wings! Empowerment. Oh, all those wings feel so different!
Let’s "wing it" together and I will give you a really good recipe for an outdoor UV coating next time around. Look for "I've Got Wings" coming up soon!
Meanwhile, the image of the flowers above is for you. Please feel free to use it. It feels like "movement forward" to me: flowers steadily getting larger and more open, off to the right hand side of the image, right out there on top of all that green. To get your own copy of that image, send me your email below, and start your comment section with the word "flowers." When you use this image, please keep the credit on it, I would love to see how you used it. Send me a link!
